I picked up a recipe for cobbler from my buddy at The Lives and Times.... He made a peach cobbler, I decided to go with blackberries...
I'm not sure what happened with the cobber I made, but it didn't come out the same way his did...
I quite enjoyed the cobber I made, though, so I think the recipe is well worth sharing.
First, the recipe list...
- 3 cups fruit
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Preparation Steps...
- Mix 3 cups fruit and 1 1/2 cup sugar
- Melt 1 stick butter in casserole dish
- Combine remaining ingredients: 3/4 cup flour, 3/4 cup milk, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pour batter on top of butter
- Add fruit
Now, it's time to bake...
- Set over to 350 degrees
- Bake approximately 60 minutes
What can I say. It's not pretty, but it's delicious. Enjoy!
