September Moon...You've Gone Too Soon

Random Thoughts...

<*> I wonder whether Heaven and Hell are the same for everyone. Or, are they the best or worst of what any individual could experience?

<*> People, I think, pass in and out of our lives for a reason. It is not happenstance alone. What the reason is may, at the time, be impossible to understand. We should give consideration, though, what purpose interactions we have may serve.

<*> I should devote more attention to proofreading the comments I write. It's bad enough that I make sopyt here that I don't correct. I have to be so careful about everything in terms of work, I think, that somehow the mistakes I make in the blogosphere are some sort of outlet.

<*> After all these years I still enjoy M*A*S*H. I love the episodes where characters write letters. The one where they appear in the black and white documentary is another favorite.

<*> The outrage that has blossomed over waif-then models is interesting. My favorite, Elle Macpherson, with all due admiration for Heidi Klum, was known as The Body for a reason. Her intelligence has made her so much more interesting.

<*> I hate the political campaign season. It's dreadful what people do to get elected; let alone the lengths to which they will go to tear down someone else.

<*> I think this is the definition of mixed feelings...it was great to see a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates had won the National League batting title. In the next second, the question arises, how long will be stay with this once proud franchise that has now floundered for so long?

<*> Have you noticed that what passes for "news" on so many cable channels - in order to fill 24 hours of programming - is more about discussing what is not known in some given situation than reporting to us what has happened?

"Include me out." - Samuel Goldwyn

On the subject of Heaven and Hell,I think I'm with Samuel Clemens - I'd rather visit Heaven for the climate, and Hell for the company...

That is one of the most beautiful photographs I have ever seen.

Heaven and hell....
Yin and Yang....
Night and Day...

The complete opposites of the same thing.

I love your photograph... it makes me feel like I should be standing still head tilted back... some sort of opera in the background softly playing....arms folded across my chest... mesmorized..(sp?) by how small we all are.

Beauty shot! Wish I knew how to take night shots and had a great camera as you must have. (What did you take it with?)

I want this moon and the person who took the photo......it is.....everything!

I've always been a fan of Kierkegaard, drawn to existentialism...plus the name is arctic cool;p

I have nothing to say regarding heaven and hell as I believe both can be experienced simultaneously here on earth at any given moment..

I believe we can impact for better or worse every life whose path we cross......a thought to take home..

Errors just prove what is true: perfection does not exist nor is needed...an idea whose time should have passed long ago.

I'm not that political, sad to say...but I so loved M*A*S*H and Alan Alda....

The last time I was considered a waif, I happened to be anorexic...how twisted body perception has become in this century.....

Last comment before I have to go to do other things...Love the moon picture! Have you ever read the book "Waiting for the Galactic Bus" [Parke Godwin]? There is a very interesting tale of Heaven and Hell, but not quite what you would expect. I read it as a teenager, and over a decade later I had to go looking for it again, to check whether my memory of it was accurate. The ideas in it are novel, and thought-provoking, and the humour well worth checking out!
