Keeping Score Never Entered My Mind...

I took a bit of time away from work, stepped away from the rigors of daily life and enjoyed some of the things that make all the challenges worthwhile. Just a few highlights for now as the hour is growing late.

It quickly became apparent this would not be a normal round of golf. We had visitors on the first hole...

Saltfork is Ohio's largest state park. {If you're ever in the Columbus area don't miss it! They have an outstanding meeting and banquet facility}

Thanks to my buddy Tony, from The Lives and Times..., for inviting me to join him for the weekend.

Golf Digest has rated the golf course four-stars...

The scenery is extraordinary...

I always love seeing wildlife; there is something about wild creatures that stirs my blood. I don't think I read this on your blog; did you see the item on the golf course that has a resident fox who loves to steal the balls? I think it may have been in the news, within the last month or so.

As I am not one to play golf, you would probably find me wandering off down the hill to that beautiful glistening river......a private place to dip in a toe, a finger, a hand, a leg......I would be content to wander the woods, finding solace in the solitude and excitement in the unexpected visit by deer or any other creature that happened my way. At the end of the day, you would find me refreshed and renewed by my sojourn in the woods......as refreshed and renewed as I hope you were after a lovely day of golf!

Wow! I'd like to spend all of my Mondays there partaking of the beautiful scenery. And I don't even like golf!

I thought the only hunting you did was for two-legged dear.

I don't believe you got so far as my entry 'Trust' (October 13), but the said 'view from my window', as the sun broke through the early morning mist (though it doesn't show in this photo as in my pile of others I didn't put there :-)) is actually of a golf course (lucky me!) I have to say, I've never seen deer on it, though plenty of foxes. Love these pictures!
