A Shout-Out To Kiribati

There aren't a whole lot of individual visits here to The Gonzo Papers that catch my attention. This one, though, did. It is, to the best of my recollection, the first time I've had someone come from Kiribati.

The island nation is located Northeast of Australia. Not surprising, I suppose, that this particular visit would grab my attention.

What is most satisfying about this visit is that the post read was the recent tribute I wrote to Elizabeth "Beth" Claire Logler.

Another notable thing about this visit is that it came shortly before Site Meter rang up visit number 20,000!

I appreciate all my visitors and am happy to welcome new people as well as much much valued returning friends.

It appears that the 20,000th visit was a StumbleUpon member from Bangkok, Thailand. That visitor came to read one of the recent articles I wrote on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. {A special thank you to the stumblers who showed interest in and support of this article.}

Having visitors come from around the globe is something that makes blogging fun. Especially when you have the good fortune to connect with visitors, whether they're other bloggers, stumblers or the author of a comment on a post.

If you're a stumbler, I invite you to visit my page and check out my great friends. If you're a web surfer whose not a StumbleUpon member I advise you definitely check it out; SU is a great web community.

I'm not surprised to see you receive so many visitors from SU (as well as having posts that people want to read, I hasten to add!)

I firmly believe that SU offers a far greater tool for the "normal bloggers" amongst us, as opposed to Digg which only really benefits the Power Users.

More power to you, and looking forward to reading more from you :)
