It's Kilroy Rhyme Time

I'm not a poet
And I know it
But it can be fun to take a shot
to see if it will fly or not
If the rhyme should crash and burn
I can always take another turn
Because it's not my life you see
Just something I do to amuse me
Now as we go around the bend
It's about time for this rhyme to end
Before it does, though, I'd like to say
I hope you'll return another day
For now, though, our time is finished here
It's time to have another beer

Cheers!

Thanks for your comments, you busy post-a-thon blogger!

I like it! Poetry can be fun, and funny. It doesn't always have to be deep and intellectual. Look at what fun poetry did for Dr. Seuss! What has he sold, maybe a kabillion books now?

I published a book of my own poetry, or more accurately rhymes in 2001, called The Poet and the Pendulum. The message is about the pendulum like mood swings, joys and sorrows of life. Divorce hurt my kids and it was mainly for them I wrote. Think I will put some of them on my blog. You clearly are a man of sensitivities, and must understand the power of The Thirsty Muse.

Tell me about blog carnivals, how they work and stuff. Is there a common site on which to post? I'm still a babe in the woods on this medium.
