I'm writing at the moment watching Lawrence of Arabia. This has actually drawn my attention away from work; every now and then I'm had to step away to watch. Frequently I listen while I work; sometimes I work in front of the television.
It worked out well this past week that TheRedhead is a big movie fan; giving us something else to share. I've always enjoyed watching TheSpecialOne. I meant watching with her. ;-)
Something that's made this especially enjoyable, aside from TheSpecialOne and TheRedhead, is that I've gotten to see some of my favorite movies and some I never watched before.
I noticed for some reason this week I watched more movies than anything "the networks" {Is there still any viability to "the big three"?} have had on or other shows on cable.
It would be difficult to say what I've enjoyed most. These ones have definitely held my attention:
- Five Easy Pieces
- Hoffa
- Cleopatra
- Planet of the Apes
- Glory
- Mr. Roberts
- The Birdman of Alcatraz
- The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
- Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid
- Cool Hand Luke
- Annie Hall
- Midnight Express
- Papillon
- I Want To Live
- Platoon
- It Happened One Night
- Operation Petticoat
- The Bells of St. Mary's
- Mutiny on the Bounty
- The Hawaiians
- Deliverance
- Taxi Driver
- High Noon
- All The President's Men
- High Plains Drifter

Personally I like Palnet Of The Apes the most out of those.
TCM is a great movie channel. I get sucked up in the Oscar week as well! (by the way, I am still altering mounds of clothes!)
We get TCM on satellite here in England. They show some great classic movies on there. Unfortunately they don't make films like that anymore.
