I've never spent any time analyzing the relationships I have with my friends. For about a week and a half, though, I've thought a lot about a lost friend.It's been interesting, reliving good times shared, recalling battles won and lost, questioning myself about some things and, at times, being angry that he picked up a .357 magnum instead of the telephone.
Al and I watched Seinfeld {aka "the show about nothing"} together many times. We laughed a lot and there was never a single episode we tired to watching.One of things I found going through Al's laptop is a directory with my name on it. That directory includes several files including one of YouTube videos from Seinfeld.

It is heartbreaking to lose a friend especially so unexpectedly and I can tell you will always keep him with you and alive in your soul.
I lost my brother to suicide. He was only 36 when he in his grand style, set his home on fire then walked across the street to a friend barn and answered his problems with a rope.
He and I were close in age, only one year and nine months separated us. Even though he is gone and its been 15 years there isn't a day when I don't feel him close in some way.
It is shocking and we ask ourselves burning questions, what could we have done or said how could we have not seen this coming? The answers are never forthcoming,as if we could have said the magic words to make it alright.
I like the idea that you ease your mind and reminisce with your favorite Seinfeld episodes and replacing your sadness with happier times.Your friend and my brother have found their peace and be grateful that you were witness to their life. Their pain is now eased.
